Angelica Joyce S. Benitez
ATTY. ANGELICA JOYCE S. BENITEZ joined the law firm of VILLANUEVA GABIONZA & DY on 15 August 2022 after taking the bar examinations at the height of the pandemic in February 2022. She passed the bar with an exemplary rating, being on the top 6.67% percent of the 11,402 examinees and the top 9.23% of the 8,241 passers. She was admitted to the bar in May 2022.
She obtained her bachelor’s degree in Interdisciplinary Studies, focusing on Political Science and Communication, from the Ateneo de Manila University in 2015 and her Juris Doctor degree from the De La Salle University College of Law in 2021.
In 2019, she was a Legal Apprentice at this firm (June 2019) and at Siguion Reyna Montecillo & Ongsiako Law Offices (July 2019). She represented her law school in the Globals Round of the Foreign Direct Investment International Arbitration Moot, where her team was ranked the highest Philippine team. She also joined the Stetson International Environmental Pre-Moot Court Competition as a researcher, where her team’s memorial ranked third. She served as the Secretary of her law school’s Law Student Government from 2020 to 2021.
She is a Member of the Integrated Bar of the Philippines, Makati Chapter.
