Maria Cristina S. Samson
ATTY. MARIA CRISTINA S. SAMSON joined the Firm as Senior Counsel in October 2025.
She led various real estate companies in the Philippines, focusing on corporate law, real estate law, acquisitions and divestments, debt and equity financing, foreign investments, and tax law.
She previously served as a Professorial Lecturer at Manuel L. Quezon University, School of Law, where she taught Corporation Law, and Agency and Trust.
She is an active member of the Urban Land Institute Philippine Chapter, where she has held multiple leadership roles. She served as chairwoman of the Women’s Leadership Initiative for more than 10 years, was part of the Executive Committee for over 15 years, and continues to serve as a member of the Board of Advisers.
A recognized sustainability advocate, she has been appointed as a member of the Legislative Committee of the Philippine Green Building Council and has served as a judge in various green leadership and design competitions. In 2018, she was named one of the Top Women in Green Building Leadership by the World Green Building Council Asia Pacific and was also declared a winner in the Philippine Green Building Council Awards for Leadership in the same year.
She is a licensed real estate broker and a Certified Green Building Professional for BERDE-Buildings as well as BERDE-Health and Wellness.
Atty. Samson obtained her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Ateneo de Manila University in 1993 and her Juris Doctor degree (Second Honors) from the Ateneo de Manila University School of Law in 1997. She also holds a Master of Laws degree, with California Bar eligibility and a Business Law Certificate, from the University of Southern California Gould School of Law. In addition, she pursued a Master in Business Administration at the Ateneo de Manila University Graduate School of Business – Regis Program, where she was a consistent Dean’s Lister (short of Thesis Defense).
