Alexander C. Dy

ATTY. ALEXANDER C. DY is the Managing Partner of the Law Firm VILLANUEVA GABIONZA & DY.

Atty. Dy specializes in the fields of Commercial and Corporate Law, Mergers and Acquisitions, Foreign Investment, Banking and Finance, Securities Law, Real Estate Transactions, and Corporate Rehabilitation and Insolvency.  His practice also includes Insurance, Intellectual Property, Maritime and Aviation Law, Technology, Media and Telecommunications, and Taxation.  He is also experienced in Litigation and Arbitration and Appellate Practice.

He is the Corporate Secretary of the Makati Commercial Estates Association, Inc. (MACEA) and the Makati Parking Authority, Inc. (MAPA), among other corporations.

He has been a Director of the Legal Management Council of the Philippines (LMCP), since 2007. He was likewise a past Director of the Integrated Bar of the Philippines (IBP), Makati City Chapter.

Atty. Dy is a Bar Reviewer (Commercial Law Review, Corporation Law, Sales) and has been a Professorial Lecturer (Commercial Law Review, Corporation Law, Sales, Banking, Legal Logic & Technique) at the Ateneo de Manila University Law School. He is a Professorial Lecturer at the FEU Institute of Law (Corporation Law, Insurance, Corporate Rehabilitation and Insolvency), and was a Professorial Lecturer at the FEU-La Salle JD-MBA Program (Commercial Law Review, Corporation Law, Insurance).

He is likewise a Lecturer for the Mandatory Continuing Legal Education (MCLE) Program of the Supreme Court (Drafting Commercial Contracts, Drafting Legal Opinions and Resolutions, Effective Legal Writing and Research, Updates in Banking Laws).

Atty. Dy joined the Firm on 15 June 2001, after stints as a Legal Officer of Allied Banking Corporation in 2000-2001, a Junior Associate of Carpio Villaraza & Cruz Law Offices (CVC Law) in 1999-2000, and a Legal Apprentice of Angara Abello Concepcion Regala & Cruz Law Offices (ACCRALAW) in 1996.

He obtained his Bachelor of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies degree from the Ateneo de Manila University in 1994; and his Juris Doctor Degree from the Ateneo de Manila University Law School (Second Honors) in 1998.
